About
Daphne is a writer and actress native to New Orleans.
She writes about girlhood and gayhood—the glamour, grit, guilt, and joy of queer life. She writes about her obsessions: New Orleans. Death. God.
Right now, she’s writing a novel: The Queer Kid. It’s a tell-all by Oliver Day, the disgraced bassist of the infamous 1970s rock band, King Yellow. It’s got everything: rockstar excess, hidden lovers, drugs, and the scandal ruined it all. (New York’s hottest club is…)
Daphne is the Director of Community Outreach for the local writing collective, Third Lantern Lit. With the 3LL team, Daphne is breaking down the barrier of entry to the writing and publishing world by organizing free generative writing events, workshops, and community gatherings in the New Orleans area.
